If you are in Ramallah next week, why not visit our 'Blink of an Eye' exhibition at the Ottoman Court (20-22 April), organised by MAP and our partner, the Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Center?

“A Blink of an Eye” exhibits photos taken by 35 Bedouin women with the help of ten digital cameras. They were guided for the past two years to document the continued violations the Bedouin communities are subject to in areas C in the West Bank. The project was set against the publication of the “Nuweimah” plans in September 2014 by the Israeli “civil” administration aimed to uproot Bedouins from their homes and their traditional life style and relocate them into areas that are incompatible with their heritage.

The photos are inspired by the environment and daily life of Bedouins, to unleash the enormous power of creativity in the face of the injustice they are subject to.

The exhibition includes photos taken by Bedouin women of ten communities who underwent advocacy training, and also by researcher J. M. Kennedy, PhD candidate at Harvard University, and Ahmad Daghlas, Palestinian Documentary Photographer, and advocate of Bedouin communities.

The exhibition will be open for three days; 20-22 April 2015, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm, and will include an original Bedouin tent, tradition home for Bedouin families, to be our intellectual meeting space and knowledge exchange for the acts of solidarity with the Bedouins, to hear from them and their advocates.
