The latest edition of our biannual supporter magazine, Witness, is here!
In this issue you can read about our work providing training to Palestinian medical staff behind Gaza's blockade, the development of family medicine in the West Bank, and Dr Philippa Whitford MP's first return to Gaza since she volunteered there with MAP 25 years ago.We also have ideas for ways you can get involved in our campaigns and fundraising activities, and join our mission to support the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.
Our main feature focuses on the situation for Palestinian refugees from Syria, five years on from the start of the country's devastating civil war. Some 42,000 such refugees have settled in neighbouring Lebanon, where the dire living conditions of the cramped Palestinian camps threaten health, and the high cost of medical care can bankrupt families.
You can read about how our projects are helping ensure that Palestinian refugees from Syria can receive the urgent treatment they need when illness strikes, and how we are providing safe spaces for children to play and learn away from the stresses and traumas of displacement.
The work we do is only made possible thanks to the generosity of people like you. We are very grateful for all the support we receive. If you can, please consider making a donation today.
