Step in and continue Maddalena's hard work and dedication in support of MAP!
The fundraising team had a sad story coming our way this week. One of our most dedicated and enthusiastic supporters Maddalena broke her hip while setting up an awareness board for MAP at her local church. She has been incredibly active these past few months going to every church in her area to hand out leaflets, linking up with her local Amnesty group to organise a concert, Bible readings, silent vigils and much more.
When setting up an information board for MAP at one of her local churches she tripped over a step and fell. It took the ambulance an hour to arrive and she was admitted to hospital and underwent surgery for several fractures. She has been in Hospital for the last 10 day. We found out about all of this when she called MAP this week from her hospital bed requesting further materials to continue her work once she’s been released from the hospital.
What commitment!
Additionally, she requested for all her friends to please donate to MAP instead of bringing any gifts to the hospital. It is the dedication and commitment of supporters, like Maddalena, that make MAP the unique organisation and work we do possible! We can't thank Maddalena enough!
