Six months after last summer’s conflict Gaza is steadily slipping towards conditions likely to produce yet another round of violence, amidst still dire humanitarian conditions. But Gaza appears to have fallen off the EU’s foreign policy agenda. During a recent lunchtime discussion, Sami Abdel Shafi, Representative of the Carter Center in Gaza, Tony Laurance, Chief Executive of Medical Aid for Palestinians, Maha Abu Shama, Programme Officer for Human Rights at the Sigrid Rausing Trust, and Daniel Levy, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Programme at ECFR, assessed what realistically can be done to ease the humanitarian suffering in Gaza. This audio is an excerpt of the event recording.
